“The innocent desire for something”

Dimensions: 120 x 100 cm
Technique: acrylic on canvas.

A desire to start afresh, without erasing the past, but with the hope of seeing it differently. The piece does not depict a violent change, but rather an intimate, almost imperceptible transformation, like a bud emerging after winter.
This painting is a pause. A space where something within the viewer may also awaken: the most fragile, most honest part, which still believes in new beginnings. Here, rebirth is not an escape, but a return to the essential.
An act of faith without fanfare.

‘Nocturnal Dance’

Dimensions: 120 x 70 cm.
Technique: acrylic on canvas.

It invites the viewer to immerse themselves
in the mystery and freedom of the night.
It is an open door to the moment where time dissolves and the soul expresses itself without masks. Its forms in motion, shrouded in soft shadows or moonlig

"Palas Atenea"

Dimensions: 100 x 70 cm.
Technique: acrylic on canvas.

She stands upright, motionless like
a thought before it becomes a word. All around her, the owls. One by one, each owl has two eyes. Athena, goddess of strategy and reason, is no stranger to this count.
She, too, is watching us.

"KENIA"

Technique: acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 100 x 80 cm

 “KENYA” On that long journey…
On a tourist bus (in Budapest), “she” boarded, with a regal bearing, dressed in sky blue, a sky-blue cloak, adorned as I had never seen before.
She was accompanied by two men, but it was she who gave the orders.
I don’t know why she sat next to me.
She asked me where I was from; I told her:
⁃ Argentina.
⁃ AND YOU?
⁃ From Kenya,” she replied.
“Do you know Africa?”
“No,” I answered. “Why don’t you know Africa?”
All I could manage to say was: “I don’t know.”
Her whole being exuded the scent of aromatic herbal oils, the closest thing — as I’ve read in biblical texts — to what they mean by ‘anointed with oil’.
She didn’t ask: she commanded. She wasn’t bossy; she had a regal air about her.
A photo?
How could I ask a
Queen for a photo?

‘Young Woman at the Window’

Technique: acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 120 x 70 cm

‘Young Woman at the Window: “What if…?”’ functions as a portal: it transforms the image into a threshold to the fantastical, where reality and dreams intermingle.
My window, the window, the window of my house, the window of my eyes; that doorway that opens onto the world, set against a backdrop of a starry night, and lets in every possible butterfly as a symbol.
That backdrop I chose, the starry night… or it could be any other night of dreams.

‘The Seventh Heaven’

Technique: acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 110 x 100 cm

To let go of desire, to release it from my very core, until even biting into an apple no longer tempts me.
Simply to be, without desire, free, without colour.
To let go of the persona, to transcend myself, to break the chains, without letting go of my heart, and to take flight.
A black-and-white phoenix—no longer in the fire; the fire is now internal—it has already happened.
